[Review] Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick in Lacy Mauve

Hye there lovelies...yet another week have passed and so another lippie post for y'all. :)

The chosen lipstick for today is Avon's very own Totally Kissable Lipstick in Lacy Mauve.

It comes in a beautiful mirror-like bullet case. It closes with a nice "click" but somehow, you can still rotate the top. lol
It doesn't come off though, don't worry :)

I like how this picture turned out :)

Pigmentation

It looks kinda like a dark berry red but it doesn't show as that dark on my lips. However, I did notice that it becomes darker as I reapply.

I guess the more layers you put, the darker the colour gets. In the picture above, I actually forgot how many swipes I did so I just put more than 1. By habit, I think I may have applied 2 or 3 times..max. haha..forgive my forgetfulness.

Lip Swatch

Bare Lips

One layer of Lacy Mauve

Ingredients

The bullet was covered with the ingredient list. Usually, I would be so reckless that I wouldn't know how to open it properly. But at this time, I had the decency to use a pen knife. lol

I hope you can see that :3

Fragrance

The usual Avon toffee smell I think (or my brain is accustomed to relate Avon lipsticks to their signature toffee smell)

Staying Power

Quite well I think. 3-4 hours. This does stain your lips which is a plus for me. You might need to touchup after eating or drinking.

Price

RM 20~25 plus minus. Even lower if you get it on sale. You can get it from your nearest Avon outlet or through an Avon representative. I got mine for around 18.

That's it. Thanks for reading :))

[Review] Too Cool For School Hot Girl Lip Sticker in #3 Lady Salmon

Hello~
I've been so far behind on my reviews that I got a total headache figuring which one I should do a review on. Aaaaaand, it has been decided:

Too Cool For School Hot Girl Lip Sticker in #3 Lady Salmon

picture credit: http://inbeautyshop.com/product_images/k/799/3_lady_salmon__86081_zoom.jpg

So, I got it because I wanted a peachy coral color for CNY (eventhough I don't celebrate cny) haha
But my expectation went downhill because when it came, it was more of a pink coral than peach.
However, it did not entirely disappoint me. :3

shorter than my index finger (though my fingers are longer than average)

Basking in sunlight

Packaging

It comes in a small box which I (being quite geniusly forgetful) unfortunately forgot to take pictures of and the sky turned kinda gloomy so I decided to just leave it. (sorry if anyone is looking for the ingredient list or something)
Just like the lipstick case, the box is embellished with yellow tartan covering which I find very attractive and easier to look for since it is yellow and all that.

Size

It is definitely smaller than your average lipsticks I must say, so it is easier to carry but very hard to find if you just chuck it into your bag compare to putting it inside a smaller compartment. Happens all the time~~

^ Compared to the Maybelline Matte for scale.

Colour

As I have stated earlier, the colour is more pinkish coral. It does get a teeny weeny bit brighter if you apply more layers but 2 layers would probably be enough :)

1. Bare lips (exfoliated and balmed) lol
2 and 3. Right and Left respectively with somewhat different lighting~

As you can see, it leans more to pink than peach~
The colour is almost similar to the advertised photo~ almost~

Staying Power

It stays for around ~3 hours with eating and drinking but the colour will fade if you eat greasy food.
A bit of shine when first applied but becomes almost matte after some time and leaves a tint on your lips ( I appreciate that ) :)
You need to exfoliate your lips nicely before you apply it though, it tends to make your lip cracks and dryness more visible. Always keep a lip balm handy~

Overall, I like it even if it was not exactly the colour I wanted.
Would I buy it again? Maybe :))

I bought mine from Roseroseshop during a sale~

Hope you guys enjoy the review~
Stay happy and stay tuned :) xx

[Review] Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Balm #02 Natural Beige

I'm actually over the moon that I finally got to purchase this balm :3 thank you Etude and their sweeties club promotions. (Though I do hope that the branches in malaysia would start their membership program like nature republic and tony moly did)

This the package~~ the box size is quite similar to their bb cushion.

What I like about the packaging is the shell-like top. It's just really pretteyy~~ ㅋㅋㅋ

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It looks pretty similar to the bb cushion
Buutt...
Look at that~~ it's all swirly inside :D
What it really is, it's part volumer and part bb cream. It follows the exact measurement of 2:1 that you need when using bb cream and volumer on its own.
It's really good because you don't have to waste time estimating how to pump out the correct measurements every time. (The human hand apparently has a mind of its own XD)
This is the puff given
And here's a closeup (because I recently got some lenses that helps me take macro pictures) :3
It doesn't absorb the product much compare to normal sponges. So you're not wasting products.
Before
After
I say it's really good at covering most freckles and and my dark under eye circle. That is only 1 layer. I suppose 2 layers would cover the face prefectly but I am not a fan of heavy makeup so I usually only apply 1 layer.
For smell~~ it does have a fragrance to it that stays for a while after you apply it but it didn't bother me much.
Lasting power~~ I say it lasts for 4-5 hours. Gooooood :3
Final look
Well, that's it for the review. It's definitely a long one. Thanks for reading xx
