[Review] Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay Foundation #2C0 Cool Vanilla

Hi Lovelies,

I'm back again with another foundation review. I have so many foundations that I'm loving right and each one serves a different purpose so I love them all!! Stay tuned for more in the future.

For this post, I'm going to review the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay Foundation in the shade 2C0 Cool Vanilla. I know there's a lot of hype for this foundation so I won't say much about it. It's already quite popular on its own already.

I don't have a lot of pictures but I'll make the descriptions short and sweet ^^

Verdict

 Coverage

Honestly I had trouble blending this foundation because I didn't realized how fast it dries so my face had blotches when I saw it in the sunlight. gahhh
So instead of using a beauty blender, I decided to use a brush because I can blend it faster but you need to build up the foundation to completely cover the skin. I also realised I can blend it well using my fingers..lewl. Maybe it's just me `\(I__I)/'
But I don't do full cover foundation as I like to still look like I barely wear foundation. So just one layer :)
A single layer would be enough to even out my skin blur out my blemishes and dark eye circles but it definitely won't completely cover them. Sometimes if you add another layer it looks a bit unnatural and cakey....but if you want full coverage, go ahead and apply another layer. AFTER the first layer has dried down.

Lasting-power

One word. AWESOME. Just awesome!
The staying power is one of the best I've had. It stayed through my intense dance classes and my Vietnam trip. If you spray some fixing spray it would be much much better.

This is also a plus~~ it didn't transfer when I wipe or blot my face. I don't like it when I wipe my face there are blotches of foundation smeared on the cloth. cry.
The foundation does disappear like it dissipates somewhere. lol

Some notes

- If you don't blend it well, you can see it. Serious~ If you leave streaks....you can see it. And it's gonna be hard to wipe away after that. So work it in as soon as you place the foundation on your face and work in small sections.

- SPF is only 10 PA++ so wear extra sunscreen if you're gonna be out in the sun. Preferably water type when you apply skincare or the spray type if you want to apply it after your makeup.

- It doesn't come with a pump but I bought a pump from MAC and it fit quite well. You can have a look at that if you don't like the no pump style.

- I'm also trying out the Etude House Double Lasting Foundation as some says it's like a dupe to Estee Lauder. So look out for that post when I put it up later. (Hopefully soon) ^^"

So~~ I think this foundation is really worth the hype and I definitely did not regret buying it. I wanted to buy it online but getting swatched at Sephora was better as I almost bought the wrong shade. phew~

Till next time 😘xx

[Review] Victoria Secret Velvet Matte Cream Lip Stain in Magnetic

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
WOOF WOOF 🐶

Hi everyone,
Hi 2018,

I  haven't written for so long I'm almost scared to write eh~
Last year I wanted to write so much but had a lot of things going on so it dragged and dragged until NOW! haha

So the first post that I want to write about is my first present of the new year. It's the......
Victoria Secret Velvet Matte Cream Lip Stain~~~ The one I got is a mauve-y kinda colour, Magnetic.
I've been looking into the lip stick since late last year but never really got the chance or the need to buy it myself since the price was RM59.00. But they were having a sale so I asked my sis to check them out for me and in the end she got them for the both of us since they're having a buy 2 free 1 promotion at the store.
Let's go! ^^

🌼Packaging 🌼

Normal...normal...normal. Nothing fancy, just simple and tells you what you need to know. I had a bit of trouble finding the name of the one I had because it turns out the name was hidden under the price tag. sheesh...
The colour on the tube supposedly corresponds to the lip colour but I think the actual lip colour is a tad bit lighter. Unless....you put two layers maybe.
My style of using lipstick (apply in the middle then spreading it probably makes it look lighter than the intended shade).

🌼 Pigmentation 🌼

Very good!
It's definitely creamy but not runny. The texture is very opaque but because its cream matte nature, it tends to show your lip lines but for me I don't think it makes them look as bad as how MAC matte lipsticks make my lips look. hahaha 😅😅

Le tired face

🌼 Staying Power 🌼

Initially I thought because of the creamy texture, it's going to transfer easily. However, after you apply the lip cream, it will take one minute or so to settle then you'll find it all good and matte looking.
I did a drinking test and there was a tiny tiny bit of transfer initially but after that no more. This concept would be similar if you blot your lips after the lip cream has settle down.
So, definitely staining..good good. It lasts quite long, 4-5 hours but it might disappear a bit if you take oily food.
Ah...oily food. The enemy of lipsticks everywhere
Final thoughts
Love it!
Have a try at it when you get a chance aye!
Till next time lovelies.
Cheers, XXX
